I had an epiphany this morning and it was pretty awesome. Possibly life-changing.
I’m not perfect, but I still look really awesome.
Such a trivial statement, and yet it makes me feel so much better about myself.
Every single day I walk around this school and I can’t help but notice the size of the arms, legs, and waist of every girl that I pass and compare myself to them.
But this morning, i looked at a girl who i think we would all agree is absolutely perfect. and any day before today I would have looked at her and immediately felt like shit because i know i don’t look like that, but today the only thought that i had was “she’s very pretty.” and i left it at that.
I really like that I don’t feel bad about myself and i can now truly enjoy beauty again. Its a really nice feeling. I hope that I can keep this attitude.
